The FOSS XDS NIR Rapid Content Analyser, XM-1100 Series, is a near-infrared (NIR) spectrometer designed for rapid, non-destructive analysis of solid, viscous, and liquid samples, particularly in chemical, pharmaceutical, and related industries.

IT employs advanced XDS NIR technology, covering a broad spectral range of 400–2500 nm, utilising a patented monochromator and modular sampling modules (such as the RapidContent module) for versatile measurements. Samples—including powders, granules, pellets, flakes, or liquids in original packaging, bags, vials, or beakers—are analysed without preparation, typically in under a minute.

Key features include precise and accurate results with minimal operator intervention, excellent instrument-to-instrument matching for method transferability, and options like variable spot-size illumination or transflection kits for liquids. The system supports at-line or laboratory use, enabling composition analysis, material identification, and quality qualification.
